Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, filed Aug, granted Sept 1941. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 109, pointing out this copies a fine jewelry original design by Verdura, advertised in Vogue 1940
Condition: Excellent - an old conversion from pin clip to pin; the spike has not been removed
