Reference: Cera, Amazing Gems, p 203 for this series. Patents for frog and elephant are reproduced below (scroll down), designer A Philippe, filed Feb, granted April 1949. Both were advertised for sale at Marshall Fields, price $6, in the Chicago Tribune, 4 April 1949, p 14; click thumbnail above to view advertisement.
