Marked: Trifari with Crown, Pat Pend, 6 (or 9)
Reference: The faceted stones, clasp for the pin clip (rather than a spike) and the Trifanium construction dates this to 1947-48. For the original 1945 sterling and cabochons pin clip see TKF6167, for which the patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, filed Jan, granted Apr 1945. A 'Pat Pend' mark also appears on other 1947-48 revivals, based on earlier, by then expired patents - see TKF5028; these marks suggest new patent applications may have been contemplated (or made) for these pieces in 1947-48 ••Reference Links - tkf6167 tkf5028
