Reference: Cera, Amazing Gems, p.14, this variant. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 97, and Cera, Jewels of Fantasy p. 124 for the fruit salad version, whose patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, filed Jan, granted Feb 1941. This pave pin was advertised for sale at Miller & Rhoads, price $40, in the Richmond [VA] Times-Dispatch, 7 Dec 1941, p 66; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. (The advert was reported in Women's Wear Daily, 23 Dec 1941 p 22).
Condition: Excellent - there is uniform age darkening to the baguettes
