Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 135 for the (more expensive) sterling pin depicted in the July 1944 patent (reproduced below (scroll down - and see TKF6305). This pin clip is a variant on the patent, to match the 1947 revival (called 'Romantique' by Trifari) of the Empress Eugenie series (which in 1940 had been called 'Rococo'); advertised for sale at Harry Cooper, Beverly Hills and Hollywood, price $12.50, with matching bracelet, in the Los Angeles Times, 26 Nov 1947, p 4; and at Gerlou Fifth Ave NYC, in Vogue, Dec 1947, p 107 (with the series name 'Romantique'), price also $12.50; click thumbnail above to view advertisements
