Reference: The trembler series, much of which was patented, was called 'Regence' by Trifari, as reported in Women's Wear Daily, 28 July 1939, p 11, 'copies of French paste court jewelry... very formal evening jewelry in flower designs, with moveable "shimmering" blossoms which catch and reflect the light'; click thumbnail above to view article. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, filed July, granted Aug 1939.
