Reference: Stones and construction are identical to SSS833, and construction to SSS683, designs copied from a Trifari patent, probably by the Reinad Chanel Novelty Company, which regularly took without authorization not only the Chanel name, but also many designs, some patented, from other companies. (See Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1, 78-83, especially the copies of MB Boucher, Carnegie, and Mazer pieces (Ch5, Ch7, Re1, Re2). This pin seems to be based on poured glass leaves, used here for petals, from the Trifari patent reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1942 (and see also Des Pat No 131964) Reference Links - sss833 sss683
