Reference: The anonymous friend of N&N communicates that this dates from 1935-1936, produced by L. Einstein & Co - click thumbnail above for designs from the series advertised in Womens Wear Daily 15 Nov 1935, sectn 2 p 6, 'white catalin hand-painted in cutout signal flags'. There is apparently a more exactly matching advert from 1936. White catalin yellows with age - it was a forerunner (trademarked 1927) of lucite (trademarked 1937).
