Reference: Originally produced by Carnegie in 1968 - advertised for sale at Joseph Horne Co, Medicine Man, price $15, in the Pittsburgh Press, 25 July 1968, p 29; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. (He was identified as a 'Tiki' in an advert in The Times [Shreveport LA], 25 Aug 1968, p 63). Baker, 50 years of Collectible Fashion Jewelry, p. 117; A. Gordon, 20th Century Costume Jewelry, p. 179 (apparently missing one or both clubs). The designer Kenneth J Lane ran Carnegie in 1963-64, and (as in other cases) later produced his design under his own signature.
