Marked: Sterling on pin clips; Sterling Corocraft with Pegasus (one pin clip, the smaller two unmarked); mechanism marked Coro Duette, Sterling, Pat No 1798867
Reference: Advertised for sale at HC Capwell's, price $35 plus tax, in the Oakland [CA] Tribune, 24 Oct 1944, p 16; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Adolph Katz, filed June, granted Aug 1944. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 p 134, the 'Night Owls Triquette', the name registered as a trademark in May 1944.

Size: 2" x 1.65". The owls measure 1.45", 1.25", and 1.125" in height
