Reference: The construction and enamelling make the attribution certain; non-use of sterling dates this to early-mid 1942. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 p 128, a sterling duette and non-sterling earrings; and see COR1606, base metal duette and sterling earrings - the mixed use of sterling and base metal, as Brunialti suggests, reflecting the mid 1942 date, at the change over to Sterling.
