Reference: Advertised for sale at Kline's, price $5, with the name 'Two Sailors Ashore', identified as by Marcel Boucher, in the St Louis Globe-Democrat, 5 Mar 1941, p 21; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. The pin had earlier been pictured, without attribution, in Life Magazine, 18 Nov 1940, p 120.
