Reference: For the original production see Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry, pp. 101, 102, name from advert in Womens Wear Daily, 17 March 1939, showing accompanying Lamb pin. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1939. Trifari revived production of a number of 30s and 40s designs in the mid 1960s - see Francesca Price, Trifari - l'eleganza di uno stile (Florence, 2002), p. 95 on the 'retro collection' of 1965.
